BRING CLEAN ENERGY TO AU, DONATE TODAY
Under Area/School, select “University Initiatives.”
Under Fund, select “Clean Energy Revolving Fund”

Mission of the Clean Energy Revolving Fund
The Clean Energy Revolving Fund (CERF) will actively strengthen AU’s commitment to sustainability through clean energy projects and community engagement. The CERF will encourage global sustainability by funding innovative projects that demonstrate environmental leadership and decrease the carbon footprint of AU’s energy supply.

Description of the CERF
The CERF will provide no-interest loans to AU departments wishing to execute a clean energy project (eg: install solar panels or improve energy efficiency). The loan will be repaid based on the savings from the project, measured in terms of both energy expenses and carbon offsets. Once the CERF is repaid in full, any additional savings belong to the University. The allocation of CERF moneys will be managed by a board, with representation from students, faculty, administrators, alumni, and the AU Board of Trustees.
