Run for Office
Want to see change happen on campus? We need you! The thirty seats of the Undergraduate Senate are elected every fall (usually September or October). Click here to visit the home page of the Undergraduate Senate and learn more about the structure of the body, how often it meets, and what it is doing. Also click here to visit the home page of the Board of Elections, a non-partisan group of students who help run elections. There you can find rules for campaigning, schedules for information sessions, and much more!
There are 3 vacancies in the Senate at this time. Please e-mail if you are interested in filling the following seats: Class of 2010 (1), Class of 2009 (2).
School and class councils are another great way to campaign and get involved! President, VPs, Treasurers, and Secretaries are first elected in the spring but vacancies are up for election in the fall as well. Be part of a great team of your peers to plan great programs for your class or school and get involved!
Please e-mail if you are interested in filling the following seats: Class of 2010 Treasurer, SPA Secretary, SPA Treasurer, CAS VP, CAS Secretary, SOC Treasurer.
The SG President, VP, Comptroller, and Secretary are elected each spring. These are year-long, paid positions. These individuals also appoint cabinet members, some of which are paid as well. All of these elections and appointments are done in the spring so be on the lookout and get involved!
Volunteer
Want to get involved without the hassle of running for an office! All of our departments are looking for volunteers, but especially KPU, SUB, SAC, WI, Eagle Nights, and our programming team! They are looking for volunteers to help staff events and coordinate logistics for events. SAC looks for advocates to be trained to help students through cases. Also, the Board of Elections is always looking for volunteers to help run elections. Please visit the department homepage (i.e. http://kpu.ausg.org) to contact the director of the department to volunteer today!
