AUTO provides vans to student organizations, Greek life, and club sports teams. Our fleet consists of large 10 passenger vans that are used on a daily basis to better serve our student community. AUTO also provides shuttle runs during welcome week to and from various stores in the DC area and during breaks runs to airports. Women’s Initiative
Women’s Initiative is a non-partisan, inclusive department of the Student Government that helps coordinate and advise campus departments and committees on programming and policy decisions that affect the women students, faculty, and staff of American University. Women’s Initiative focuses on making AU a safer, more equitable, and more empowering place for women through AU traditions like the Breastival, AIDS Walk Washington, World AIDS Day, the Vagina Monologues, Women’s History Month, and Take Back the Night. Not only do we plan some of AU’s most popular annual events, but we also work on policy issues like pushing the administration to create a Women’s Resource Center, providing oversight of the Student Health Center, and working with Public Safety to keep campus safe for everyone.
