Welcome to Eagle Nights!
Welcome to the Eagle Nights website! Please check our web site regularly so you know what events will be going on every Wednesday night on Campus!
Yay Diversity!
Hi everyone!
My name is Jillian Rubino, and I am the Director of the Department of Diversity Advocacy. I am a senior in SPA, majoring in Law & Society, minoring in Studio Art, and I’m doing the Women & Politics Institute’s Women, Policy and Political Leadership Certificate Program. I know this welcome is a long time coming and I apologize for that, but it’s here now and we are ready to get started. There are a lot of great people who will be working with me this year on issues that affect typically underrepresented students here on campus, namely multicultural students, LGBT students, and students with disabilities.
Don’t forget to check back here every once in a while. I’ll be posting updates on the Department’s initiatives and letting you know about great events at AU and in the DC area that focus on diverse issues.
We have a lot of great ideas and we are always looking for more people to jump on board. If you’re interested in helping us out this year, or would like more information, please email me at .

Volunteer at the Breastival October 7!
Would you like to help make an AU tradition a reality? The 4th annual Breastival is less than 2 weeks away (October 7!), and we need your help!! Volunteers are needed to hang posters, set up tables, sell t-shirts, lead games, staff the dunk tank ... the possibilities are endless! We need people to help out as much as they can between 9am & 6pm. The more people we have, the more successful the event will be, and the more money we can raise to fight breast cancer!
Please e-mail to let us know when you can volunteer… We need as many hands as possible. Thanks!!!
TOMORROW: Craft for a Cause with WI and Eagle Nights!
Do you like vintage t-shirts? Do you have a secret (or not-so-secret!) creative side? Do you like recycling? How about fighting breast cancer & HIV/AIDS? Then join Eagle Nights & Women’s Initiative TOMORROW at 7pm in the Tavern to make old t-shirts into something new while raising money for two great causes! We will provide everything you need to ‘recycle’ old t-shirts into scarves, bags, tank tops, and more. T-shirts will be sold for $3, and 100% of the money will be divided between breast cancer research and supporting team AU Fights AIDS! for AIDS Walk Washington. Its’ easy and fun, so don’t miss out!
