Welcome

The Parliamentarian of the AU Student Government is responsible for advising all members of the organization on procedural matters and governing documents. He/She is appointed by the President, with the advice and consent of the Undergraduate Senate, and serves as the initial authority on the governing documents. As a member of the Judicial Branch, the Parliamentarian also works closely with the Judicial Board to resolve any inquiries as they relate to the governance of the Student Government. Finally, as an officer of the Senate, the Parliamentarian ensures that it abides by the governing documents and the rules of debate. He/She is there to advise the Senate on parliamentary matters, working closely with the Speaker to ensure that business is smoothly conducted and order is maintained.
