Vice President of the Student Government

Office Hours: Monday & Thursday 10-11am

Sam.jpegSam Vervaeke (she, her, hers) is a senior working towards her Bachelor of Science in Math & Economics and International Studies. She is originally from Dunstable, Massachusetts, a tiny New England town.  When she came to AU, she was overwhelmed by the numerous ways to get involved, but eventually joined Student Government as part of the SIS Undergraduate Council.

As Vice President, Sam hopes to set a high bar for student programming with speakers, musicians, and more. Her vision is to introduce more advocacy work into the position, and use her programming tools to further expose the issues facing our student body.

Outside of Student Government, Sam is a Co-Chair for the SIS Mentorship Program and a waitress in Friendship Heights. When she isn’t working or studying, she enjoys reading in coffee shops, updating her Fantasy Football team in season (go Patriots!), exploring museums throughout the city, and watching HGTV.
