Comptroller of the Student Government

Office Hours: Spring Office Hours TBA

christine_featured.pngChristine Machovec (she, her, hers) is a rising senior, earning her Bachelor's/Master's in economics with a minor in art history. As Comptroller, Christine is excited to bring her experiences from participation in the university's Residence Hall Association, the American University Symphony Orchestra, and the AU Honors program to student government. Hailing from Ellicott City, Maryland, Christine has embodied AU's commitment to public service before arriving in D.C., volunteering at her local library from middle school through high school, playing violin in her local church, and interning at the Howard County Circuit Court and County Councilman's office. When she's not in class, a meeting, or rehearsal, Christine can be found at her favorite places on and off campus: grabbing a breakfast bagel at Megabytes, squeezing in a workout in Jacobs, admiring works of art in D.C.'s numerous art galleries, and attending concerts and events downtown.
