Jacob DeGoes is a Junior in the School of International Service and College of Arts and Sciences, seeking degrees in International Relations and Economics respectively. Born in Santa Monica, California, he grew up in the small town of Prospect, Connecticut, before moving to the Netherlands in 2011 and completing all four years of high school there. He has functioned as Elections Commissioner since May of 2017, a role in which he has worked to keep the elections process as smooth and accessable as possible.
Outside of Student Government, Jacob is employed as a Desk Receptionist under Housing and Residence Life, often working early morning shifts at the Cassell front desk. He is also a member of the professional legal fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta.
In his (often nonexistent) free time, Jacob enjoys spending time with friends, playing video games, watching Netflix, or curling up in bed with a good book. His favorite candy are Lemonheads, his favorite flavor of Ben & Jerry's is Half-Baked, and spends as much energy avoiding TDR as humanly possible.
