The 2017-2018 Executive Board marks the second anniversary of the tragic death of Kevin Sutherland, an AU and AUSG alum who served two terms as AUSG Secretary.

The Student Trustee-elect is an observer for the first term, and in the second term is a regular member of the Board. The American University Student Trustee is a regular member of the Board for purposes of meeting and committee participation and other general obligations of trusteeship, but does not have the power to vote.
