Brian O'Connor (He, Him, His) is a junior majoring in CLEG and minoring in History. He was born in Englewood New Jersey and grew up in a small town near New York City called Ho-Ho-Kus. Brian first became interested in local government when he represented the student council on his high schools Board of Education. Brian saw firsthand how beneficial an active and effective governing body can be to the community that it served. That experience encouraged him to serve as Chief of Staff for LeCloper Hall Council his freshman year, where he worked on making life in the residence hall's more inclusive and welcoming. As a Senator, Brian intends to continue this legacy of public service by advocating for Student workers and working for improvements to mental health services on campus.
On Campus, Brian works as the Program Associate for the Politics, Policy, and Law scholars program where he mentors students through their first year of university. He also works closely with AU College Democrats as a campaign fellow to help Democrats get elected across the country.
In his spare time, Brian loves spending time at the Bridge and exploring D.C.’s various neighborhoods. An avid reader, he loves discussing history and loves learning about events from a new perspective.
