Danya Adams (she, her, hers) is a freshman from the D.C. Area. She is majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in French.
As a Senator for the Class of 2021, Danya hopes to to represent the freshman class to her fullest extent, following her campaign slogan #advocating4u. Having moved around the country throughout her life, Danya understands the importance of diversity and hopes to exemplify AU’s wonderful diversity as she resides on the Special Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Danya is also fighting for a transparent Senate, most recently passing a bill requiring committee meeting times to be announced at least two days in advance—for this cause, Danya resides on the Standing Committee on Accessibility, Transparency, and Accountability and Commission on Creating a Student Government Unified Code. Danya is the Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee on Environmental Sustainability as she hopes to innovate the way that AU is environmentally sustainable by reducing paper and food waste and increasing awareness through methods to incentivize students to be environmentally friendly. Danya’s office hours are Wednesdays 2-3 P.M. in MGC 268.
