Sarem Haq, a member of the Class of 2021, is a Senator for the Campus-At-Large and the Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. Sarem is a Political Science major with a focus in Comparative Politics. Outside of the Senate, he stays engaged on
campus through his work as a member of CASE and as the Director of Advocacy for the AU Mental Health Initiative. Off-campus, Sarem has already completed his first college internship, with Let America Vote, and will be interning with the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance in Spring 2018.
Sarem hopes to use his expertise and skills to expand student government accessibility, improve mental health services, work towards tangible and pragmatic policies for a more welcoming campus climate, and ensure an equitable budget.
