Vice President of the Student Government
Office Hours: Mondays and Thursdays (12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.), Wednesdays (10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), Sundays (12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.)
Leela Najafi (she/her/hers) is a junior CLEG major with a Justice minor.
As Vice President, Leela oversees programming and class councils.
A San Francisco Bay Area native, Leela is a former member of the Undergraduate Senate, representing the Class of 2020, and was the Vice Chairman of the Committee on Accessibility, Transparency, and Accountability.
Leela is thrilled to serve as the Student Government Vice President because she is passionate about bringing relevant and productive conversations to the forefront of our campus. In conjunction with her programming team, she hopes to push more inclusive and contemporary dialogues forward.
She is also a legislative research intern with CQ Roll Call and a member of the National Press Club. As journalism is a main interest of hers, you can catch her attending Senate committee markups and writing stories in the press gallery on the Hill. On campus, Leela is a member of Delta Gamma and Phi Alpha Delta, and she is often found studying in EQB. In her spare time, you can catch her at Press Club taco nights or on a run around the National Mall!
Leela is always excited to hear from students about their ideas for programming this school year, so please reach out to email@example.com if you would like to set a meeting with her!
